Hammered by Hand Collection
2000
After earning a degree in metalsmithing in 1996 I spent several years working as a bench jeweler, challenging myself and honing my craft. In 2000 I went out on my own and this was my first collection in 14k gold and diamonds—a deeply personal chapter sparked by a simple question: What kind of jewelry do I truly want to wear? The answer was simple, delicate modern fine jewelry. That instinct, shaped by the effortless style of my friends and muses, became the foundation of my design language. Each piece was hammered and shaped by my own hands in my studio—no molds, no mass production. The process was intimate, tactile, and slow. You can see it in the work: the softened edges, the quiet irregularities, the deliberate imperfection of something made with care. Delicately designed, the collection is a study in contrasts: simplicity with edge, elegance with intention. Some of these early pieces remain in the line today, carrying the soul of how it all began—with craft, curiosity, and love of working in metal.
