As I head into this New Year, I am feeling grateful for the amazing community of women I am a part of - from traveling to Africa with like-minded creators, to supporting fellow women-entrepreneurs in Fashion Mamas and Female Founder Collective, and to old and new friends who inspire me every day to design the jewelry of my dreams. I’ve always championed made-by-hand, artisan crafted jewelry, and I am so proud to say that this is still the focus of my brand—just in the same way hand-made gifts and DIY accessories are imperative to my latest Finding, Erica Domesek of P.S. I Made this. She is “Fashion‘s queen of DIY” and has proven it with her rockin’ style and bold, playful designs. When she arrived, she bypassed our showroom and headed straight to our studio, where each piece is handcrafted. It was only seconds before she was sat at a jeweler’s bench, peering through a microscope at a piece being set with diamonds, admiring the details only a person’s hands can offer. Erica grew up loving accessories, and adorning herself in her mama’s jewels, so it’s no surprise her journey has led her to such creative pursuits—she’s not only a dreamer, but a doer, and her DIY lifestyle is so damn inspiring! P.S. You’re gonna LOVE this!

Erica told us she is always drawn to pieces with a sentimental meaning. She chose our large pave heart mantra necklace with "I love you to the moon and back" engraved to hark back to her vintage heart calendar pendant she wears on the daily. The calendar charm, originally gifted to her grandma by her long-time card-playing BFF's, is engraved on the back "here's to our Friday niters". It doesn't get any more special than that!

The second she walked through the door, Erica started talking about upping her layering game. So we tried to replicate my everyday layered look but in her own style. We started with the medium chubby hoops with 6 star-set diamonds, then layered up the chubby huggie hoops with 3 star-set diamonds. From there, she stacked on a chubby ear cuff and a thick pave diamond ear cuff, just the way I wear mine on the daily! For her rings, I wanted to help her amp up the chunky layer game again—we started with a One of a Kind piece that reminded her of her grandmother’s engagement ring (which she tragically lost). She stacked it with a half round ring with marquis cut diamond and added our tried and true favorite pave and pear diamond signet ring on her pinky. On the other hand, she went for one statement ring—a pave and emerald cut diamond wide band ring. Sometimes one is all you need!

Growing up, Erica’s mom had build in jewelry drawers, leading to her obsession with trying on jewelry, and mixing and matching different styles. Most of her day-to-day jewels - like heirloom charm bracelets - have been passed down from family members so she wanted to try few bold pieces that would compliment them or that she could rock alone. She wore two cuffs on one wrist; a marquis diamond wide cuff and another one of our one-of-a-kind pieces. She kept the other wrist a bit more simplified with a pave small curb chain ID bracelet and a XL square oval link pave toggle bracelet

With her brand, P.S. I made this, Erica has inspired hundreds of thousands of women to let go of perfection, get their hands dirty and to adopt her motto of “I see it. I like it. I make it." She's got more than a few tricks up her sleeve and we're excited to see what's next for her in the New Year! Cheers to Erica and to crafting the life you want to live!
