July is peak summer here in LA. It's the month we all pack our bags for those extra-long weekends away or hop on a plane to enjoy a well-deserved summer vacay. With several trips planned to the east coast and overseas, this got me thinking about the actual act of traveling. It's no easy feat - especially when you're balancing a career, family and a million other obligations. Making thoughtful decisions on what to pack or carving out time to put your health first can easily take a back seat. This year, I wanted to flip the script and focus on bringing more flow and ease into my summer travels. And who better than Suzanne Hall, Editor in Chief of Chalkboard Mag, to dish on just that. Chalkboard is the lifestyle source for all things health, wellness and green beauty. With a career that’s all about unearthing the secrets to living well, Suzanne is constantly on the move. We sat down to chat about her beauty must-haves (hello multitasking products), how she stays healthy while traveling (supplements, supplements, supplements) and her fail-proof airport uniform. Trust me, this gal had me jotting down tip after tip on my notes app! | photos by annie mcelwain |

Working as the Editor-in-Chief of Chalkboard Mag means Suzanne knows what she likes when she sees it and she isn't afraid to nix the things she isn't immediately drawn to. She recommends we all become editors of our own lives which I couldn't agree more! During her styling sesh, Suzanne gravitated towards pieces with an understated elegance. A few diamond stacking rings like our open tiny trio diamond ring and our princess and prong diamond ring complimented her diamond eternity band, the one piece of jewelry she never takes off! She loved so many of our 14k and diamond open cuffs but ultimately paired it down to two of our faves, the our bezel diamond open cuff and our diamond trio cuff – simple, clean & classic!

Suzanne already had her eye on our vertical bar stations necklace when she arrived so we made sure to start with that as the base for her neck game. From there she chose our large floating diamond necklace and to the mix for some sparkle and a hint of drama! We bonded over our shared love of pieces that stand the test of time and hold sentimental value - like our twin 14k star set diamond locket necklaces (great minds think alike, am i right?!? ;) When it came to picking an ear story, an edgy-glam look slowly evolved. It started with our yet-to-be released 14k & diamond spiked hoops, for the edge. For the glam, Suzanne added our bezel diamond ear cuff , princess diamond huggie hoops and our 14k tiny diamond studs. All in all, Suzanne's picks were right on-point with what we'd expect -timeless and well-edited with a great attention to detail.
